OUR STORY

The Essence of ISTÓRIA

The name finds its roots in both Greek and Russian, two cultures rich in storytelling. At its heart, our journey began in 2020 with one belief: that scent has the power to hold a story, to conjure a memory, and to make the everyday feel extraordinary.

Each of our candles is a small chapter, hand-poured to evoke something deeply personal. A place. A person. A moment in time.

We listen to the stories our customers share when they inhale a chosen scent, and in return, we tailor fragrances that feel intimate, elegant and enduring. Minimalist in design, consciously made, and created with care, ISTÓRIA HOUSE is here to craft atmosphere for your unique life story.

Our Makers

We are a small, independent studio with big heart. Every product is made by hand: poured, labelled and packaged with the kind of attention you can only get from a maker who genuinely loves the process.

Our mission is to make beautiful things that leave no harm behind. We use only the highest-quality ingredients, from our pure coconut-rapeseed wax to our FSC-certified wooden wicks, because true luxury should be gentle on the planet.

Rooted in nostalgia, storytelling and slow living, ISTÓRIA HOUSE exists to help you pause, breathe, and find warmth in the everyday.

Absolutely always recommend these candles. The smells are both enough to make you hungry (chocolate hazelnut and caramel coffee) and soothing (sandalwood and honey). I don't know if I could pick a favourite because the aroma of all of them elicits a sigh. The caramel coffee is in my bedroom and remains unlit yet the scent still permeates the air. These candles last for so long, I haven't burned through any yet, even though I use at least one of them every single day. The honey one is on my desk and I light it when I am recording a podcast, the sound of the wood wick can be heard if you listen really carefully to a recording.
